During the fight scene between Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Quinto, Spock looks as if he piches Benedict on the shoulder, causing him great pain. This is a Vulcan Nerve Pinch (aka Vulcan Death Grip).
To a normal human, the instant Spock’s fingers come in contact with your nerves, you will pass out. (He does this to Kirk in the first reboot star trek movie) In the new one (Into Darkness), he pinches the antagonist, but out of incredible power and endurance, Cumberbatch doesn’t get knocked out.
This fight scene was literally the best fight scene I have ever beheld.
